2018 – 2019 Grant Recipients

Since 1999 Komen Ozark, the affiliate has awarded nearly $10 million to local organizations to provide breast health services and over $3 million has been invested in research.  In total, Komen Ozark had made a total investment of nearly $13 million.

These Programs Include:

Community Clinic – Serving Benton and Washington Counties:  The “We Are Aware” program provides a culturally competent continuum of care for low-income, uninsured/underinsured patients in Northwest Arkansas through breast care education, screening, diagnostic and treatment support.

Cox Foundation – Serving Stone and Taney Counties in Missouri:  “Health and Hope” provides access to breast care and breast cancer treatment through financial assistance for women in need of screening mammograms, diagnostic testing and transportation to appointments.  A nurse navigator is also provided to help those diagnosed with breast cancer navigate their journey.

Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House – Serving Crawford and Sebastian Counties:  “To Save A Life:  Survivorship” program provides breast cancer patients with advocacy, information & financial assistance.  The program also offers screening and diagnostic services.

Madison County Health Coalition – Serving Madison County:  The Madison County Health Coalition program provides a navigator to advocate for breast cancer patients and educate the community on breast health.  The program also provides gas cards

Mercy Breast Bentonville – Serving Benton and Washington Counties:  The Mercy Breast Center’s breast health program provides a nurse navigator to work with all breast cancer patients through their breast cancer journey.  The program provides gas cards and diagnostic services.

Mercy Fort Smith – Serving Crawford and Sebastian Counties:  The “Save A Life” program provides navigation, screening and diagnostic services, educational outreach programs and works with diverse groups in the community to coordinate access to breast health services in the River Valley.

North Arkansas Partnership for Health Education – Serving Boone, Carroll and Newton Counties:  “Living Healthy: Screenings for Life” program is designed to reach residents with a comprehensive education and awareness campaign to increase participation in breast health education classes, and breast self-awareness training.  This program also provides screening, diagnostic and treatment services as well as, patient advocacy.

Washington Regional Cancer Support Home – Serving Benton and Washington Counties:  The “Breast Health Program” provides a breast health navigator and a bilingual navigator who offer specialized guidance and support to patients on their breast cancer journey. The program also provides screenings, diagnostic services and treatment support.
